What's the situation?
The youth component of Turkey's Local Agenda 21 (LA21) Program manifests an outstanding performance in terms of mobilizing the youth and perforating to all partner cities and the full spectrum of activities in the LA21 processes. The youth platforms have established a nation wide network and started to come together in regional and national programs. They have been in close interaction with the youth of the world in various occasions. The efforts of local youth platforms have been towards addressing development challenges including the promotion of key principles and values. These platforms have been in motivation to achieve individual capacity building and mobilize youth for increased social responsibility and improvement of the quality of life in the cities, sustainability and governance.
What's our mission?
With this Project, it is aimed to support youth for their innovative approaches to contribute to the efforts for improved conditions in the cities to make their environment healthier, more convivial and more socially livable for increased social interaction and the betterment of community relations as a way to enhance collective well-being and social capital.
How are we doing
this?
In cooperation with and support of Coca Cola Turkey, the "Hayata Arti" Youth Fund was established to support innovative and sustainable project ideas of youth which reflect youth's dynamism and encourages partnerships for addressing development challenges. Youth Association for Habitat and Agenda 21 is responsible with the effective implementation and administration of the "Hayata Arti" Youth Fund.

How will Turkey benefit?
The primary direct beneficiaries of the "Hayata Arti" Youth
Fund will be the members of the LA21 youth platforms, the
representatives of the LA21 National Youth Parliament and
other youth organizations and platforms in Turkey. The ultimate
beneficiaries will be communities living in the cities where
granted "best practice projects" are implemented. The communities
will benefit from the services provided as a result of the
impacts of the activities of "best practice projects."
