UNDP ACTIVITIES IN TURKEY

The UNDP has been active in Turkey since the 1950s, working in partnership with successive governments and other stakeholders. Since 1986 it has implemented over 80 programs across the country. In recent years, the UNDP's strategic directions in Turkey have focused around four main human development themes: governance, poverty, environment and gender. In addition, the UNDP has played a major role in response to crises and disasters in Turkey and the surrounding region.
